The standoff between the U.S. Treasury and Musk is only the first act of a well-oiled strategy.

🔴 A Digital Coup Already Underway in the United States?

While everyone's eyes are on DeepSeek and the think tanks are drafting speeches for the AI summit, a historic shift may be playing out, right before our eyes, in the United States.

Toward a digital coup?

Over the past 48 hours, a technocratic oligarchy led by Elon Musk has consolidated its hold over financial systems, government infrastructure and information flows. Meanwhile, Donald Trump, though still president, has been reduced to the role of a figurehead.

We are still speculating on some points, but the trajectory is clear and alarming: a corporatist digital state within the state is emerging, replacing the old mechanisms of democratic governance with algorithmic and technological control.

X (formerly Twitter), under Elon Musk's control, has become the nerve center of this transformation, used to filter, alter and steer official information. The platform is no longer a mere social network but a strategic tool for disabling checks and balances, rewriting political reality and restructuring the state around a technological elite.

And DOGE is becoming the main tool for accessing critical digital infrastructure.

A scenario straight out of "Seven Days in May"

This shift recalls John Frankenheimer's cult film Seven Days in May (1964), in which a general attempts a military coup against the American president. Except that today it is no longer the army but a technological elite that neutralizes democratic institutions through digital infrastructure and information flows.
